I joined the RAAF in 1985 as an MTD. I served at Williamtown 1985-1988, Tindal 1988-1989 and Richmond 1989-1994. I then remustered to Supplier after the closure of the mustering. Served at 1CAMD at TPT 1998-2001 on the trucks. Best posting I ever had. Over the years I met some characters, met some weirdos and made some good friends. Currently posted to Tindal for the third time.

Hi gang I was a mtd for 6 years got leukaemia from my visit to Maralinga.

have been a driver all my working life worked for Toll Chadwick for 18 years after serving my time in the Raaf,then worked for my self with my own small tipper then a semi trailer,

retired in 1991.

Care for my wife of 47 years who has liver and bone cancer.

Joined RAAF in 1965 posted to Williamtown NSW 1965-1971 then 1971 -1973 in Townsville .1973 to 1976 Williamtown.

Worked at Caltex Newcastle 1976 to 1981.

Moved to Brisbane QLD 1981 bought truck business have had a few trucks but now down to one (the last one) hoping to retire one day.

Have travelled overseas done 8 weeks in Europe in 2000 Tasmania, Singapore,China,NewZealand, England Scotland & Wales, Vanuatu for our 40th Wedding ann in 2008.

Member of Albany Creek Rotary Club for 25yrs enjoy doing volenteer work.

Travelled the east coast of Australia in caravan hoping to do more.

Keep in touch with EXMTDA in Queensland with get togethers looking forward to reunion at Tweed Heads and catching up

About Me

I finally left the RAAF in 2008 after 30 years. The first 6 years as an MTD then PTI, Recruit Instructor, Promotion Course instructor (CPL, SGT & WOFF) and the last 10 years as a WOD. My last posting was at Amberley as the Base WOD. Currently live with my partner of 23 years, Harvey Nicoll, in Twin Waters on the Sunshine Coast, QLD. Retired last year from the work force and am enjoying going to the gym,golf and staying fit. Hi to everyone out there!

Nabiac NSW. RTA double check ( they must really like me, always checking my log book to see if I've been having a good time and getting plenty of rest and the truck ( L9000), NOT ME, hasn't been going to fast. I'll just cart these bloody sticks from Glouscester to Casino NSW .pat the missus and kiss the dog, then go back to Glouscester and do it all over again.
